§

A guesthouse that lets the building speak. We worked from the original tile palette out: paper, indigo, the colour of mid-summer shade.

Chapter 01

A façade as a wordmark

The owners had restored the building tile by tile over four years. The identity had to feel as patient. We started by photographing the building at four times of day, then drew a custom display cut from the swelling and shrinking of the glaze.

Chapter 02

Booking that reads like a letter

Most guesthouse sites read like spreadsheets. Casa Azul reads like a postcard. The booking flow is one long page, narrated in first person, with the calendar tucked at the end. Conversions doubled in the first month.

Chapter 03

Print as souvenir

Each room received its own folded broadsheet: a short story about the neighbourhood, set in a soft serif, printed on uncoated paper. Guests began taking them home. We printed more.
